Let the music play…at Crown Center

We are starting off our year with a great variety of musical entertainment at Crown Center!

January 19th, in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. we are welcoming the students from Congregation B’nai Amoona to talk, learn and sing with us.  We will celebrate the ways in which people are different and similar to one another.  We look forward to singing with the students!

On Thursday, January 23rd at 11:30am, you can join us as we celebrate Tu B’Shevat, the Jewish “Arbor Day” with a wonderful program led by Rabbi Joe Davidson and Cantor Sharon Nathanson from Congregation B’nai Amoona.  We will have the pleasure of hearing Cantor Nathanson’s beautiful voice.

On Sunday, January 26th, we are taking a trip to see a concert featuring the Bach Society Young Artists as part of the Couts Music Series of Second Presbyterian Church.  The young artists will be joined by pianist Sandra Geary for an afternoon of Bach solo arias and duets.

On Monday, January 27th at 6:30PM we are inviting our residents, their families and our community friends to “The Universal Language of Music” where musicians from the Saint Louis Symphony perform “music for the string quartet.”  This program, SymphonyCares for Seniors, is funded in part by the Silk Foundation as well as a grant through The League of American Orchestras and the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation.
