The Gladys & Henry Crown Center for Senior Living is a nonprofit agency with 501(c)(3) standing. While we receive federal funding from the Housing and Urban Development Department, we are prevented by government regulation from using rental income for our program activities or our support services and Crown Center does not receive allocations from community funders, such as the United Way or the Jewish Federation.
At least 40% of our residents have incomes of less than $14,000 per year and after paying 1/3 of this for rent, plus daily expenses for food, medications, and other necessities, not much is left for transportation or recreation. Crown Center residents make difficult choices on a daily basis and we are proud of our ability to meet their expanding needs. What makes this possible is the generosity of those in the community who support us through our Annual Friends Campaign, our Tribute Fund, our planned giving through Crown Partners, and our Tax Credit program. Please consider a contribution to Crown Center and join those who are committed to sustaining affordable housing for older adults.

Crown Center expressed its appreciation to the Lubin-Green Foundation and Royal Banks
for their support in sustaining older adults, at an event in June 2010.
Karole Green, President of Lubin-Green Foundation, and Steven Baden, President of Royal Banks, were presented paintings by David Kaskowitz, a Crown Center resident and award winning artist.
Board members, community guests, and residents attended the celebration.

Friends of Crown Center contributed generously at a "Generations Event" in June 2008 to honor new board president, Steven Rosenblum, and in memory of his mother, Myla Rosenblum,
a past president of the board from 1978-82. As a result, the Myla Rosenblum Bagels & Learning Fund was established to underwrite programming at Crown Center.
Below are board members and guests who attended the event.
