Making connections...
The Gladys & Henry Crown Center for Senior Living makes connections between residents and the wider world possible through the Crown Computer Center. With the help of volunteer "coaches," participants receive individual mentoring in using the latest technology to "surf the Web," stay in touch with others via e-mail, take virtual trips abroad, research topics of interest, play games, manage personal information, and much more. Located in the lobby area of the Tallin Building, the Computer Center is a popular place to spend time.
The Crown Center Library is staffed by a resident volunteer, Larry Beck, who takes pride in keeping the ever growing collection in good order. "I enjoy browsing in the Crown Center Libray to find the novels I love to read, but our collection is broad enough for many tastes and now includes large print books," says Gert O'Neill, who has lived at Crown Center for 18 years.
