What Makes Crown Center Special

Our Mission and Culture

Crown Center’s mission is to provide affordable, quality, independent living in a caring, secure, diverse, and friendly atmosphere, honoring the Jewish tradition. For more than 40 years, Crown Center has been home to many Jewish older adults.

An ethnically blended community, residents come from around the corner, across the United States, and around the globe. You will hear several different languages being spoken and make friends from other cultures. Crown Center exemplifies the Jewish tradition that compels us to be responsible for our neighbors.

Our People

In addition to outstanding facilities, it is the people who make Crown Center special. The strong sense of community is felt throughout, from the caring Board of Directors, to the professional staff members and residents themselves. Crown Center also serves as a true senior center, with most programs and activities open to older adults, regardless of where they live.

Crown Center residents are some of our biggest boosters.

TESTIMONIAL:

I have been living in Crown Center for already ten years. Because it has already been a decade that I’ve been living in Tallin House of the Crown Center, I would like to thank the administration of the Crown Center for all the care and attention. I would like to underline the incredible kindness of the executive director Nikki Goldstein, who always greets us with a welcoming smile, always finds time to meet with us personally, and helps to find answers to the questions.

This description applies to other members of staff, specially  Florence Schachter, Director of Resident and Community Services at Crown Center, and Lara Burch, Social Services Coordinator.  As a civil engineer who has spent many years constructing buildings, I would like to note high qualification and quality of work of Ron Douglas, the maintenance director. In Russia people like him are called “master with golden hands”.

I wish Crown Center’s staff good health and happiness in their lives.

Yakov Gincherman
